Marriage is a process
in which two individuals both a girl and a boy coming from a different
backgrounds commit to live together for the rest of their lives as husband and
wife and thus set a foundation stone to craft a family life and in return a
sound society. It is indeed a sacred bond of two people to live together as all
the Prophets have practiced. In all the religions and societies the concept of
marriage is made for human comfort and for their well being.
The first and the
foremost purpose of marriage is to have offspring for the continuation of the
human race. There exists a natural inclination when we talk about the opposite
gender towards each other. Marriage is the institution which fulfills the
desire of mutual inclination of each other. So the attraction between
the opposite sexes is very natural which should not be suppressed or denied. If the inclination of man and women towards each other is not fulfilled, it leads towards disorder and disruption in society. Married people leave a good and sound impact on society by taking care of their families by providing them with all the necessities of life, by protecting them and controlling and imparting good morals and education to their children.

On observing the
society one can conclude that married people live healthy and long life, earn
more, have better mental health and live a happy life. Marriages lower the
suicidal rates, fatal accidents, acute and chronic illness and alcoholism,
adulteration etc. we may say that marriage actually change the mind of the
people from harshness to softness. It comes to be a special kind of
relationship or rather more than a relationship.
Marital relationship
carries with it religious, legal, moral and conventional assumptions about what
is right and proper.
Married couples have
shared their past together but will also a long imagined future together and to
present is now interpreted in the light of their past and future.
Marriage gives a sense of responsibility to marred couple individually. Both wife and husband have
their own right and responsibilities towards each other which are to be
